Ideological struggle and organisational works
( Not applicable to all but a general statement)
Ideological struggle means reaching more people with our anti-reactionary, anti- communal and pro people views, ideas and thoughts directly or indirectly. Organisational work means doing day-to-day union work, dealing with employee problems, various programs, meetings, conferences etc.
Without ideological struggle, neither we can protect industry nor jobs/ benefits including pensions.
Though, we talk of ideological struggle frequently, rarely we give emphasis on such activities in practice nor encourage those who do such works. Most of the time, we reach our people or our like minded people and celebrate the same as astounding, mammoth success, achievements . But we forget that we are not reaching heterogeneous people,which is important. It is not question how many meetings we address or attend rallies, trade union programs, it is equally important, how many people we are reaching with our pro-people, progressive views. Equally important, how many people, we have helped and encouraged to do ideological struggle. If one’s small face book posting reaches and admired by thousands of heterogeneous people including eminent personalities, he/ she should do such works more . If we have weakness in any area where others have adroitness, dexterity, we don’t encourage such works publicly rather indirectly denigrate such activities. We praise some while remain silent on someother cases having bigger achievements. We suggest others to read outsiders while ignoring our people despite having massive contributions and recognition. By this we weaken our ideological struggle and fascist reactionary forces grow.
