Acharya Prashant frequently discusses climate change, Himalayan glacier retreat/mass loss, related risks (floods, water scarcity, feedback loops), and media’s under-coverage of these topics.
He often argues that media is controlled by wealthy interests who benefit from high-consumption, high-emission systems and therefore avoid or downplay inconvenient truths.
He has also criticised media for prioritising entertainment, TRP/views, and what audiences want to hear over serious issues.

Acharya Prashant (born Prashant Tripathi on 7 March 1978 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India) is an Indian philosopher, author, Advaita Vedanta teacher, public speaker, and social activist.

He earned a B.Tech from IIT Delhi and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad (2003). He cleared the Indian Civil Services Examination (ranked around 184 in one attempt) but chose not to pursue a long-term career in the civil services. After brief corporate roles (including at GE Capital, ECS, and the Times Group), he left that path around 2006 to focus on spiritual teaching and self-inquiry.
