Love, Respect and Affection: A Continuous Process
Dr Santosh Kumar Mohapatra
Love, affection and respect are not matters of a single day; they are cultivated through a continuous and sustained process.

One may give a wonderful gift to one’s spouse on their birthday, but if one fails to treat them with love, care and respect on other days, the gift loses much of its true significance.

The same principle applies to every aspect of life, including family, society and trade union activities. Occasional gestures, grand celebrations or impressive words cannot substitute for consistent behaviour, genuine concern and meaningful action. What truly matters is how we treat people in our everyday interactions,

How we stand by them in difficult times, and whether our actions reflect the values we profess.
True love, affection and respect are demonstrated not through isolated gestures but through consistency between our words and deeds. They must be practised every day, not merely displayed on special occasions.
