When My Mind Reacts Severely
Dr Santosh Kumar Mohapatra
Different people face different problems relating to time, age, health, family responsibilities and financial circumstances. Therefore, I never expect everyone to contribute equally or make sacrifices beyond their capacity.
However, my mind reacts severely when people practise the opposite of what they preach; when they confine their messages and writings to like-minded people while avoiding heterogeneous groups where their ideas need to reach; and when they expect other people’s children to sacrifice, struggle and even jeopardise their achievements for a cause, while wanting their own children to lead comfortable lives and receive social recognition.
For me, the issue is not how much one contributes, but whether one’s actions reflect one’s words, convictions and principles.
