Why There Are No Hitler Statues
Nazi-Era Restrictions: Even during the Third Reich, Hitler did not permit public statues of himself. A December 1933 decree by the Reich Minister of the Interior banned Hitler monuments, busts, or plaques during his lifetime to maintain total control over his image and avoid provincial likenesses.
Following World War II, Allied military authorities (American, British, French, and Soviet) and German communities passed strict bans and systematically destroyed or dismantled any monuments, statues, or symbols glorifying the Nazi regime.
Germany views Hitler as persona non grata. Public glorification is illegal, and historical remnants are kept strictly out of public worship.
