Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray to Visit Raipur for Global Icons of India Award Ceremony

Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray, National President of the Rashtriya Patrakar Mahasangha (RPM), National President of the Indian Federation of Small & Medium Newspapers (IFSMN), New Delhi, and National President of the National Media Confederation (NMC), New Delhi, will visit Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on September 27, 2026.
Dr. Samantaray will attend the “Global Icons of India Award Ceremony”, being organised by Ms. Runa Sharma, General Secretary, Chhattisgarh Rashtriya Patrakar Mahasangha, in association with the AARNA Foundation.
The prestigious ceremony will be held at Hukum’s Lalit Mahal, Cartier Club, Raipur, on September 27, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The programme is expected to bring together journalists, social workers, public figures and distinguished personalities from different fields.
During his visit, Dr. Samantaray will interact with journalists, social workers and distinguished guests and exchange views on issues concerning the welfare, professional interests and working conditions of journalists. Discussions will also focus on strengthening coordination and organisational activities at the grassroots level.
An RPM Chhattisgarh organisational meeting will also be held during his visit. The meeting will discuss organisational expansion, coordination among members and future programmes of the Rashtriya Patrakar Mahasangha in the state.
The visit is expected to facilitate meaningful interaction among members of the media fraternity, social workers and representatives of various organisations and further strengthen coordination and cooperation in the field of journalism and social service.
Stay and Visit Schedule
Dr. Samantaray will stay at the Indian Railway Officers’ Rest House, Raipur Railway Station, in Rooms No. 2 and 3, from September 27 to September 29, 2026. He is scheduled to depart from Raipur at 5:00 PM on September 29.
During his stay, he will also hold interactions with journalists, social workers and other distinguished persons and discuss matters relating to the development and strengthening of media organisations in Chhattisgarh.
