When Power Replaces Morality

Isn’t it disturbing that many who commit crimes, indulge in corruption, loot public wealth and misuse power eventually become our opinion-makers and even preach to us about ethics, morality and responsibility?
Why do so many self-styled “Babas” maintain close links with politicians and the powerful? Their names find a place in history, while they enjoy power, privileges and comforts. Meanwhile, those who genuinely care for society and humanity—honest, broad-minded, sensitive and compassionate people—often struggle and suffer without recognition.
The tragedy is that the bad and exploitative often remain united, while ordinary people are deliberately divided by caste, religion, politics and other identities. A divided people are easier to control.
We must therefore ask: Whom do we admire, whom do we trust, and whose values do we allow to shape society?
Wealth is not morality. Power is not wisdom. Popularity is not character.
Unless good and decent people unite against injustice, the powerful and unscrupulous will continue to rule and prosper, often without meaningful opposition.
