The Communist Party of India (CPI) has called for stringent punishment, including the highest penalty, for those responsible for the killing of two children in the Tronglaobi incident. The party stressed that all individuals involved must be identified and brought to justice without delay. At the same time, CPI opposed the imposition of internet shutdowns and curfews, stating that such measures do not offer lasting solutions and instead create hardship for the public. The party urged authorities to prioritise justice, accountability, and effective governance over restrictive actions affecting daily life.
