Two Kinds of People: Those Who Inspire and Those Who Discourage

There are broadly two kinds of people in society, particularly among those who shoulder responsibilities in collective organisations.

The first category consists of people who encourage, inspire and motivate others to achieve what they themselves could not accomplish despite repeated attempts. They do not allow their own failures to become barriers for others. On the contrary, they share their experience, extend support and take genuine satisfaction in seeing others succeed where they once struggled.

The second category consists of those who, having worked hard but failed to achieve something themselves, try to discourage others from pursuing the same goal. Instead of treating their own setbacks as lessons, they sometimes turn them into reasons to undermine or discourage those who are making sincere efforts.

I have always respected and appreciated the first category of people. Their greatness lies not merely in what they accomplish personally, but in their ability to create confidence, encourage talent and help others move forward.

Success becomes truly meaningful when we use our own experiences—both achievements and failures—to make the path easier for those who come after us.
