Learning Never Ends: Every Opportunity to Teach Is Also an Opportunity to Learn

The pre-promotional coaching programme for the LIC AAO (1-B) examination commenced today at the Divisional Training Centre (DTC), Cuttack, and will continue for two days. Around 30 fellowship-qualified comrades participated with remarkable enthusiasm.
Although I had completed only the Licentiate qualification and never pursued higher insurance qualifications due to my own lack of interest, but pursued PhD in economics, the office entrusted me with a 90-minute session on Insurance. I may also take another class tomorrow.
It was indeed a pleasant and enriching experience. Interacting with these young colleagues reminded me that knowledge grows through sharing. I found them cordial, disciplined, inquisitive and well-prepared, making the classroom a vibrant space for learning.
This experience also reinforced an important lesson: qualifications alone do not define a teacher. Continuous reading, practical experience and the willingness to share knowledge with sincerity often matter just as much.
Every opportunity to teach becomes an opportunity to learn, and every interaction leaves both the teacher and the learner a little richer.
