The Double Standards of Sacrifice
When ministers, the rich, and the powerful enjoy luxuries, visits foreign countries at the cost of taxpayers’ money or through ill-gotten wealth, the media and society often glorify it as sacrifice, patriotism, or service to the nation.
But when sincere and honest people make genuine sacrifices for society or humanity, their actions are frequently dismissed as mere publicity or self-promotion.
This contradiction reflects the deep hypocrisy prevailing in public discourse and social perception today.
