Power and Wealth Cannot Guarantee Security and Happiness

Wealth, power and social recognition are important in life, but they are not the ultimate goals of human existence. We should not devote our entire lives to pursuing them at the cost of peace, happiness and human values.
When society itself becomes degraded, contaminated and morally eroded, neither wealth nor power can guarantee personal security and happiness. No amount of money, authority or social status can completely protect us from the consequences of living in an increasingly insecure and distrustful society.
According to reports, retired IAS officer Rakesh Agrawal was allegedly found dead with his throat slit at his residence behind Panghat Colony in Suraj Nagar, Ratibad, early Wednesday morning. A caretaker, reportedly hired through an agency just four days earlier, was missing, and police suspected that he might have fled after the incident.
