Spread the love

We grow up being told there’s a “right” age for everything – a degree by 21, marriage by 25, a home by 30, retirement by 60. But life doesn’t come with a manual. Dreams don’t come with deadlines. And sometimes, the most inspiring journeys begin long after the world expects them to end.”
Back in 1991, Uday Kotwal completed his MSc in Zoology and dreamed of a PhD in Entomology. But as the sole breadwinner, he had to start working as a clerk at a bank. Years passed, he retired as a bank manager, but his passion for butterflies never really faded.

He kept his love for the subject alive through treks, newspaper articles, and radio talks. He wrote newspaper articles on butterflies and their vital role in the ecosystem and gave talks on All India Radio.

And six years ago, he reunited with his former professor, Dr. Mukherjee, who has an MSc, PhD and a DHED degree. She has decades of teaching and research experience. She agreed to guide him through a PhD at Vaze Kelkar College.”
It was never about age. It was about commitment—to knowledge, to passion, and to each other as teacher and student. It’s never too late to learn, never too late to teach, and never too late to chase the dreams that once had to wait,” said Dr. Mukherjee.

Because truly, it’s never too late to learn, never too late to teach, and never too late to chase the dreams that once had to wait.
