Mount Chimborazo in Ecuador is the highest point above Earth’s center. It’s located near the equator, where the Earth bulges, making it about 2,072 meters farther from the center of the Earth than Everest.
Height from base to peak
Mauna Kea in Hawaii is taller than Everest from base to peak. It originates deep beneath the Pacific Ocean and rises more than 10,210 meters. However, from sea level, Mauna Kea is only about 13,800 feet (4,200 meters).
