Jammu Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav Inaugurates Free Medical Camp and Distribution Camp for Medicinal Plants and Bird Water Bowls
Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust’s Commendable Initiative to Promote the Prime Minister’s Heatwave Awareness Campaign Among the Masses
Jammu, Paloura (Ward No. 59):
With the objective of spreading awareness among the public about protection against extreme heat and heatwaves, in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s appeal for citizens to remain vigilant and actively contribute towards the welfare of humanity and animal life, a large-scale public welfare programme was organized in Ward No. 59, Paloura, Jammu under the leadership of Mahant Rohit Shastri, President of Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust.
The programme featured a Free Medical Camp, organized in collaboration with the AYUSH Department, Jammu, and the distribution of Ayurvedic and medicinal plants in association with the Jammu Social Forestry Department.

Additionally, earthen water bowls (sakoras) for birds were distributed to citizens to help provide water and feed to birds during the intense summer season, encouraging people to place them at their homes and public locations for the welfare of these voiceless creatures.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. Devansh Yadav, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, while Ravinder Singh, AP Rural, attended as the Guest of Honour. A large number of local residents, social workers, and distinguished citizens participated in the event.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Devansh Yadav stated that the message of environmental conservation, public health awareness, and compassion towards animals promoted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the need of the hour. He emphasized that amid rising temperatures and the growing challenges of climate change, every citizen has a responsibility not only to safeguard themselves but also to assist vulnerable sections of society and helpless animals. Appreciating the efforts of Shri Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust, he remarked that such initiatives strengthen the spirit of public awareness, service, and environmental protection. He also urged people to plant more trees and ensure the availability of water for birds during the summer months.
Guest of Honour Ravinder Singh, in his address, highlighted that health, environmental conservation, and social service are closely interconnected. He stressed the importance of adopting necessary health precautions during the ongoing heatwave conditions. He stated that providing healthcare services to the needy through free medical camps is a highly noble cause. Furthermore, the distribution of medicinal plants not only contributes to environmental conservation but also helps raise awareness about the benefits of Ayurveda. He praised the Trust’s efforts and expressed hope that such activities would continue in the future.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahant Rohit Shastri said that inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for public participation, the Trust launched this campaign with the objective of creating awareness about heatwave prevention, promoting Ayurvedic healthcare, encouraging environmental conservation, and fostering compassion towards birds and other voiceless creatures. He emphasized that service to humanity is the truest form of service to God and assured that the Trust would continue organizing such public welfare programmes in the future.
Among the prominent dignitaries present were Shri Mata Vaishno Devi’s Chief Priest Gopal Shastri Ji, Arun Prabhat Singh, President of Bharatiya Janata Party Jammu & Kashmir Yuva Morcha, former Councillor Kuldeep Singh, Hunny Singh, Anil Gupta, Bhushan Jamwal, Uttam Chand Sharma, Lucky Sharma, Rakesh Gandotra, Naresh Raina, Ajay Sharma, Karunesh Gupta, Amit Mahajan, Akhil Mahajan, Swanik Gupta, and many other respected citizens and local residents.
During the programme, a large number of people underwent health check-ups, received free medicines, and collected medicinal plants and bird water bowls, thereby actively participating in this campaign for environmental conservation and animal welfare. The event effectively conveyed the message of service, environmental protection, health awareness, and social responsibility.
