Ten workers at the 14-number coal mine in Finboro, near the border between Assam and Arunachal, under the Tinsukia district, were kidnapped by NSCN and suspected ULFA-I militants on the intervening night of February 17.
An estimated seven members of a suspected militant organization reportedly detained the individuals at gunpoint before transporting them in a dumper to old Longtoi, a remote part of Arunachal Pradesh, this morning at around three in the morning, according to sources.
Gyan Thapa is one of the people that has been kidnapped.
