World Polio Day was marked with a significant event in Berhampur,

Odisha, as all Rotary Clubs of Zone 8 came together to organize a Bike Rally for Polio Awareness. The rally, which began at Ramlingeswar Park and concluded at Gopalpur, aimed to spread awareness about the importance of polio eradication and to remind everyone that the mission is not complete until every child is safe.
The Bike Rally was flagged off by Berhampur MLA Sri Anil Kumar, and was attended by Rotary District Governor Rtn. Manoj Tripathy, DRR Rtn. Dr. Satabrata, Zonal Chair Rtn. Dr. Ranjit Padhi, and members of various Rotary Clubs and Rotaract Clubs. The event was organized by Rotary Berhampur, one of the oldest clubs in the region, which has been consistently supporting polio immunization drives and awareness activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Rotary Berhampur President E. Venkat Anand said, “Through this rally, we want to remind everyone that until every child is safe, the mission is not complete. We are committed to continuing our efforts to end polio forever, and we appeal to the community to join us in this fight.”
The event saw the participation of several Rotarians and Rotaractors, including Past Presidents V. Santosh Kumar, P. Satyanarayana, Mihir Panigrahi, Pradyumna Bishoyi, and Satyakam Patro, as well as members Madhusmita Sahu, K.V.G. Ravi Kumar, E. Sarthak, Moningi Praveen, Santosh Rath, V. Satyanarayana, Gauri Agarwal, Jitendra Patro, and many others.
The Bike Rally was a grand success, with a large number of participants and community members joining in to show their support for the cause. Rotary Berhampur is proud to be a part of this collective effort to end polio forever, and is committed to continuing its efforts to make a polio-free world a reality.
