PM Modi’s “Wed in BHARAT” initiative could bring Rs 1 lakh crore back into the country by encouraging domestic weddings, diverting expenses from overseas destination weddings. - Modi spoke about the ongoing wedding season, noting that some trade organisations estimate there could be nearly Rs 5 lakh crore of business this year. He also urged people to opt for products made in India only while shopping for weddings.
The CAIT has identified over 2,000 suitable locations across approximately 100 major Indian cities for hosting weddings within the “Wed in India” initiative.
