Residents in Tehran reacted with celebration following news of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s death

Following the military strikes in Iran carried out by Israel and the U.S., divided demonstrations were held around the world. Many Iranians celebrated after President Trump announced Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed during the military operation.
Many of those who oppose Khamenei’s regime were seen carrying images of Reza Pahlavi, Iran’s exiled crown prince, who last month called on President Trump to take action against the Iranian regime amid a deadly crackdown on protesters.
