Vijay Diwas observed on December 16 commemorates India’s victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Surrender of 93,000 Pakistani soldiers to Indian forces, leading to the creation of Bangladesh.
celebrated every year on 16 December reminds us of the historic win of India over Pakistan in the Indo-Pak war eventually leading to the liberation of Bangladesh. This war went on for 13 days and ended with Pakistan surrendering 93,000 soldiers. Vijay Diwas is the day that highlights India’s military strength, commitment to justice and humanitarian values. 

Indo- Pak war victory was led by our leaders like Indira Gandhi, Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and Lt. General Jagjit Singh Aurora.
