The Nagaland Police is introducing a system for online submission of complaints regarding stolen vehicles and lost/stolen mobile phones.

The Nagaland Police, in a press release, stated that thefts often occur because stolen items can be resold and instances of people unknowingly purchasing stolen goods have been noted. To prevent this, a database will soon allow the public to check online before buying second-hand items, it added

Therefore, the Nagaland Police have requested the public to submit online complaints regarding stolen vehicles and lost or stolen mobile phones, in addition to filing physical complaints at police stations, which are necessary for insurance claims.
