Astronauts Sunita Williams & Butch Willmore might end up drinking recycled urine while stuck in space, claimed Meganne Christian, a member of the European Space Agency, as per reports.

Media reports quoted British astronaut Meganne Christian highlighting the potential hardships they might encounter if their stay is extended, due to the lack of basic amenities such as water.

They need to recycle urine for drinking water and avoiding floating faecal matter.

Also, showers might be scarce due to the shortage of water, Thus, they might have to resort to using wet towels with a bit of soap for cleaning, reports stated.

Meanwhile, NASA has claimed that Butch and Suni are safe aboard the space station working alongside the Expedition 71 crew and will be returning in February next year.
