Projects announced in Budget-2026 linked to Odisha:
•Support for mineral-rich states including Odisha, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu to establish dedicated rare earth corridors.
This builds on the Rare Earth Permanent Magnets scheme (launched in November 2025) to promote mining, processing, research, and manufacturing of critical minerals.
•Operationalisation of 20 new waterways over the next 5 years to promote sustainable cargo movement.
This connects mineral-rich areas like Talcher and Angul, and industrial centres like Kalinganagar, to ports such as Paradip and Dhamra.
