Mahant Rohit Shastri is playing a crucial role in promoting Devavani Sanskrit in the state: Rajesh Gupta.
Rajesh, Kulveer, Brijesh, and other distinguished citizens initiated the Sanskrit Month by distributing plants to promote Devavani Sanskrit.
Grand events will be held throughout the month to promote Devavani Sanskrit.
The event was held in collaboration with the Social Forestry Department, Jammu Region.

Jammu: On Tuesday, the Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic sansthan Trust inaugurated Sanskrit Month to promote Devavani Sanskrit. On this occasion, prominent citizens including VHP Jammu Kashmir Ladakh working president Rajesh Gupta, SSP Kulveer Handa, SP Rural Brijesh Sharma, Regional Director of Social Forestry Jammu Region Ravindra Singh, DFO Social Forestry Jammu Division Safeer Hussain Shah, and SHO Pacca Danga Rakesh Jamwal were present.
On this occasion, Mahant Rohit Shastri, president of Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic sansthan Trust, stated that every year, Sanskrit Day is celebrated on the day of Shravan Purnima, and this year it will be celebrated on August 19. The Trust has decided to celebrate Sanskrit Month again this year, starting today with the distribution of five thousand plants outside the Pacca Danga Police Station with the cooperation of the Social Forestry Division Jammu. Grand events will be held throughout the month to promote Devavani Sanskrit. The Sanskrit Month will conclude on August 19, on the day of Shravan Purnima.

Rajesh Gupta, working president of VHP Jammu Kashmir Ladakh, said that after decades, Mahant Rohit Shastri has taken a historic step towards the revival of the golden age of Sanskrit in Jammu Kashmir. He appreciated the efforts of the Trust for the preservation, development, and promotion of the Sanskrit language and the ancient sages’ messages, and stated that a flexible and informal approach is needed to make this ancient language popular.
SSP Kulveer Handa mentioned that Sanskrit, a language proven through grammar, is also considered suitable for computers. Sanskrit is a language connected to our environment. He hoped that similar small efforts from other parts of society would make Sanskrit a prevalent language in Jammu Kashmir once again. He also called on people to plant at least one tree each month, stating that today’s plant distribution is a gift for the coming generations.
SP Rural Brijesh Sharma emphasized the importance of conserving all natural resources for the balance of our ecosystem and praised the Trust for its efforts.
Regional Director of Social Forestry Jammu Region Ravindra Singh remarked that Mahant Rohit Shastri is playing a significant role in societal upliftment by promoting Devavani Sanskrit language and Indian culture to the masses.
SHO Pacca Danga Rakesh Jamwal said that such programs will boost the morale of Sanskrit lovers and highlighted that human life is dependent on trees and plants. Without them, human life would not be possible, and we must work together to protect our culture and moral values.
On this occasion, Social Forestry Division’s Dinesh Joshi, R.K. Chhibber, K.K. Sharma, Sat Pal Sharma, Vineet, Prof. Sharad Chandra Sharma, Deepak Gupta, Dilbahadur Singh Jamwal, Uttam Chand Sharma, Nigam Gupta, Pramod Sharma, Sunil Sharma, Naresh Raina, Vijay Seth, Narottam Sharma, Pawan Khajuria, Inspector Rakesh Jamwal, Rahul Salathia, Sunil Singh, Rakesh Gandotra, Saurav Singh, and other Trust members and SFD employees were present.
