He stated that the UP Police is taking every threat related to the Maha Kumbh very seriously.

He mentioned that despite threats, comprehensive security arrangements have been made for every devotee coming to the Maha Kumbh via land, water, and air. DGP Prashant Kumar said that a seven-layer security arrangement will be in place for the Maha Kumbh. He further added that the UP Police has completed all preparations for security. Different security and investigation agencies are investigating these threats at their levels and taking appropriate action. Regardless of the threats, devotees will be provided with robust security.

He informed that ATS female commandos have also been deployed in the Kumbh Mela area. According to DGP Prashant Kumar, security arrangements have been increased by 40% compared to the 2019 Kumbh. Additionally, strict security measures are being taken at international and inter-state borders. Special vigilance is also being maintained regarding cybercrime-related incidents. A plan has been prepared to ensure that cyber incidents do not occur and that immediate action is taken if they do. Furthermore, special attention is being given to disaster management, fire safety, and traffic management. Better coordination has been established among all departments and agencies.

He said that this event is an opportunity for the UP Police to work in an exemplary manner. The DGP stated that new equipment has been purchased for the Maha Kumbh. Preparations have been underway on a war footing for the past several months. Efforts are being made to improve every preparation further.

Advanced equipment like interceptors and tether drones have been introduced. In fact, DGP Prashant Kumar visited Prayagraj on Saturday to review the preparations for the Maha Kumbh. On this occasion, he inaugurated the new temporary office of the SSP. Additionally, he inspected the preparations on the ground. During his visit, he conducted an on-site inspection of preparations from the city to the Mela area.
