I am honored & grateful in remembering Dr Harekrushna Mahtab today on 2nd January as “SMIRITI DIVAS” when he passed away.

He was Ajanubahu (one whose arms reach down to their knees).
It’s significance describes in Indian culture as Strength, Dignity and Divine Virtues.
Dr Harekrushna Mahtab was disciple of World renowned Great Kriya Yogi Swami Hariharananda Giri.
As his contribution to society was excellent, also his search for spirituality springs root findings as his Sadguru Swami Hariharananda Gure.
It shows his extraordinary understanding of Region.

Dr Mahtab wrote many times addressing society to avail authentic guide for Self-Knowledge and Realization.
He emphasised Hariharananda’s spirituality, realization and love and ability to grace Bhagwad Darshan.

Dr Harekrushna Mahtab was the person brings Baba in lime light.
He says it would be rarest opportunity in one’s life to have closeness with Swami Hariharananda.
Many times he reference Swami Ji’s Sadhana.

Dr Harekrushna Mahtab known as the “Lion of Odisha” or “Utkal Keshari” was a towering Indian freedom fighter: joined the independence movement early, participating in non-cooperation and namak satyagrahas; imprisoned many times.
Historian, and writer who served Odisha’s first Chief Minister, playing a crucial role in integrating princely states and shaping modern Odisha by moving the capital to Bhubaneswar and building the Hirakud Dam.
He was also a Union Minister, Governor of Bombay, and founder of the Prajatantra newspaper,and winner of Sahitya Akademi Award for his literary work Gaon Majlis.
Honored with a statue in the parliament’s Central Hall and numerous institutions named after him.

My love and homage with gratitude to Dr Harekrushna Mahtab for his unending love to Sri Sri Gurudev.
