A 24-year-old man named Rinku Kalita was arrested on Saturday (August 17) from Guwahati’s Fatasil Ambari for impersonating a police officer.
The Crime Branch of Guwahati City Police arrested Rinku Kalita of Ganeshpara after he was caught impersonating as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Jalukbari on Independence Day.
In one of the photos shared by Guwahati Police, the imposter was seen posing with the Police Patrolling vehicle.
“It is suspected that he is involved in other criminal activities,” police said.
Meanwhile, legal action have been initiated by police.
