In a shocking incident, Bollywood actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was rushed to CRITICare Hospital early this morning after accidentally shooting himself in the leg. The mishap occurred around 4:45 AM when Govinda, while preparing for a flight to Kolkata, was handling his licensed revolver, which misfired and struck him in the knee.

Hospital authorities confirmed that Govinda was admitted at 5:15 AM and is now out of danger after receiving prompt medical attention. His manager, Shashi Sinha, explained that the firearm discharged when the actor was attempting to put it back into its case, and it accidentally slipped from his hand, causing the bullet to hit his leg.

The local police have taken custody of the revolver and have launched an investigation into the incident.

Govinda, known for his roles in Bollywood comedy hits such as Coolie No. 1, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, and Partner, last appeared on the silver screen in 2019’s Rangeela Raja. Despite his immense popularity during the 80s and 90s, the actor’s more recent projects have struggled at the box office, with Partner (2007) being his last major hit.
