Meet Master Aloto, whose mother is a daily wage worker and lost his father when he was months old. He even had to drop out of school. Then he discovered his passion for cricket and relentlessly putting in extra effort. Today, he proudly represents Nagaland in Under 16 Cricket.
In his first BCCI tournament he scored 641 runs with 3 centuries and also took 33 wickets. Despite his young age, he played the Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games and took his team to the Finals winning a Silver Medal.
Today he and his elder brother Mr. Mughavi, who also plays for Nagaland, are earning 10 lakhs plus as match fees per season and are now looking after their families.
The story of Master Aloto serves as both inspiration and a collective dream and responsibility that many many more Alotos emerge from all parts of Nagaland.
