Why progressive people should celebrate and make street cornor meeting on Supreme Court’s verdict on
bilkis bano case.

Normally progressive people protest, make meeting when any injustices is being perpetrated or undemocratic things happen.
But recent Supreme Court’s verdict on
Bilkis bano case is historic. Progressive people and opposition parties are not utlising the issues to corner BJP.
The fact that all 11 convicts were granted remission by the Gujarat government and released on August 15, 2022.
THE SUPREME Court on struck down the relief on January 8 , 2023 granted by the Gujarat government in August 2022 to 11 men who were sentenced to life for the gangrape of Bilkis Bano and murder of her family members during the 2002 riots, and ordered them to surrender to jail authorities within two weeks.
Really, we should admire the courage and fortitude of Bilkis Bano . She should be role model for women who are fighting against injustice. We don’t have such courage which she has exhibited.
