Mohenjo-daro
Around 1600-1500 BC, the traditional bullock cart was used for local transportation in the ancient civilization of Mohenjo-daro, which is now in Sindh, Pakistan. 

Cart tracks
The first evidence of a wagon’s use dates back to around 4400 BC, in the form of cart tracks, incisions, and model wheels. 

Wooden wheels
The oldest wooden wheels used for transportation were found in southern Russia and date back to 3325 ± 125 BC. 

Wheeled vehicles
Evidence of wheeled vehicles has been found between the North Sea and Mesopotamia in the mid-4th millennium BC. 

Industrial revolution
During the Industrial Revolution, bullock cart making began to incorporate modifications to keep up with modernization. Iron wheels replaced wooden wheels, and other parts became gradually metallic.

Bullock cart races are held, where the winner is determined by speed, not endurance.
