“New Delhi: Central Bureau of Investigation filed a case against Udit Prakash Rai, a former Delhi govt education director and IAS officer, for alleged irregularities and corruption. The charges include appointment of faculty members, including Rai’s wife, Shilpi, at the govt-aided Delhi Tamil Education Association (DTEA) schools using fake experience certificates.
According to officials, others named in the FIR include R Raju, honorary secretary of DTEA, Sharad Kumar Verma, former deputy education officer; Govindavel Harikrishna, principal of Moti Bagh DTEA Sr Secondary School and Shrikant Singh Yadav, manager of CPM public school.
