Meet Sumit Jain, Story of School Boy to President of India Deaf cricket Association.

Meet Sumit Jain, a young boy from a humble background attending a government school in Delhi. Despite facing numerous challenges, Sumit dared to dream big. Today, Sumit is an inspiration to many, proving that with grit and the right support, even the most unlikely dreams can come true. Now, he is a renowned differently-abled, hearing-impaired cricketer. Sumit serves as the President of the Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) and is a dedicated member of the Differently-abled Cricket Committee under the BCCI & Treasurer of DICC board committee, which is mainly governed by Board of Directors who are nominated by each Member Country.

Sumit Jain Serves as the president of IDCA.

The Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) is a governing body for deaf cricket in India. The Association was formed in 2020 in lieu of Deaf Cricket Society under the NCT of Delhi Societies Registration Act 1860. It is a apex national cricket associations for the deaf and its affiliated state associations elects their delegates to participate in IDCA General Body which elects its office bearers to represent IDCA which in turn participates in Deaf International Cricket Council (DICC) which closely works in association with International Cricket Council (ICC). Deaf Cricket Society (DCS) is a non-profit voluntary organization under Societies registration act of 1860 and also registered under the act of 1995 for the persons with disabilities (equal opportunities, protection of rights & full participation). DCS was founded in the year 2012 and conducted various matches at National and International level to further improve the structure of the organization/Society while IDCA was formed in 2020 to expand and to all Indian deaf cricket association at state every to participate in national & international tournament.

1:-1st T-20 Asia Cup Cricket Championship for Deaf From 19 to 23 Nov. 2014 at HPCA, Dharamshala (India Deaf Team of Champions).

2:-1st T-20 World Cup Cricket Championship for Deaf From 18 to 27 Nov. 2015 at Delhi (India Deaf Team of Champions).

3:-Sri Lanka vs. India International Deaf Cricket from 5 to 14 June 2016 at Galle, Sri Lanka (India Deaf Team of Champions).

4:-2nd T-20 Asia Cup Deaf Cricket Championship From 20 to 29 March 2017 at Dhaka, Bangladesh (India Deaf Team of Champions).

5:-Sri Lanka vs. India International Deaf Cricket From 29 March to 1 April 2017 at Delhi (India Deaf Team of Runner-up).

6:-Tri Nations T-20 International Series From 23 to 29 Sept. 2018 at Dhaka, Bangladesh (India Deaf Team of Third).

7:-Deaf ICC T-20 World Cup From 23 to 30 Nov 2018 at Gurugram, Haryana (India Deaf Team of Runner-up).

8:-South Africa vs. India International Deaf Cricket Series from 24 Nov to 4 Dec 2019 at South Africa (India Deaf Team of Runner-up).

9:-Sri Lanka vs. India International Deaf Cricket Series From 28 Jan. to 3 Feb. 2020 at Sri Lanka (India Deaf Team of Runner-up).

10:-India Men’s Deaf IT20 series closes 5-2 to England.
