Over 700 People Benefited from Free Health Services under the Esteemed Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas

Fulfilling its pledge of serving humanity and promoting social welfare, Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, Jammu & Kashmir, organized a large-scale free medical camp on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10:30 AM at S.D.M. School, Karwanda Bhalwal.

On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner of Jammu (IAS), Dr. Rakesh Minhas, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Widely known for his efficient leadership and public welfare initiatives, Dr. Minhas inaugurated the camp, inspected the various medical facilities, interacted with doctors and healthcare workers, and personally listened to the concerns of patients.
In his address, DC Jammu Dr. Rakesh Minhas emphasized that health is the greatest wealth. He noted that such camps are lifesaving, especially for the poor and needy living in rural and remote areas. He further stated that this initiative not only expands the reach of healthcare services but also spreads awareness about health in society. He lauded Shri Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust for its commendable and inspirational effort, assuring that the administration will continue to encourage such public welfare activities.
More than 700 patients received medical check-ups and free medicines at the camp. The Ayush Department, Jammu, also extended active support. A team of specialist doctors provided consultations across multiple fields, including gynecology, orthopedics, dentistry, ophthalmology, surgery, nephrology, Ayurveda, and general medicine.
Renowned doctors of Jammu & Kashmir such as Dr. Vishav Gupta, Dr. Praveen Yograj, Dr. Vidyut Gupta, Dr. Dheeraj, Dr. Neena, and Dr. Rajan Khajuria, along with several other senior physicians, offered their services, making the camp a historic success.
Trust President Mahant Rohit Shastri stated that the institution has always considered social service and public welfare its foremost duty. He affirmed that the Trust remains committed to organizing such camps regularly to ensure free healthcare facilities for the people.
SDM North Deepak Kumar remarked that health awareness forms the foundation of a healthy society and such initiatives inspire people towards better health security.
Baldev Singh, Vice President of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association (Jammu), praised the Trust’s efforts, describing them as not only an example of healthcare outreach but also a source of inspiration for society.
Prominent citizens including Tehsildar Bhalwal Monika Sharma, Rakesh Gandotra, Kuldeep Kumar, Bhushan Jamwal, Bandana Kumari, Pratap Singh, Parmod Sharma,Sunil Sharma, Lucky Sharma, Sunil Singh Raipuria, and Dr. J.P. Singh also attended the event and appreciated the noble initiative.
In conclusion, all participants collectively resolved to continue organizing such medical camps in the future so that quality healthcare can reach the common people.
