Three active cadres of two banned outfits arrested, search ops conducted

Imphal: Security Forces arrested three active cadres of two different banned outfits from different locations in Kamjong District on Monday.

According to a Police report, a combined team of Manipur Police and Central Forces arrested two active cadres of a banned outfit and one active cadre of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) from Kamjong District.

The arrested persons have been handed over to the concerned Police Station.

A case has also been registered at Chassad Police Station for further investigation, the report added.

On the other hand, the situation in the State was tense with sporadic incidents of firing but under control, during the last 24 hours Security Forces continued to conduct search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts to maintain law and order situation in the state.
