Sri Rasananda Kar, BEO Daringbadi, Dist- Kandhamal arrested by Odisha Vigilance for misappropriation of Govt money of Rs.20,000,00/-

Sri Rasananda Kar, BEO Daringbadi, Dist. Kandhamal has been arrested and will be forwarded today to the Court for misappropriation of Govt money i.e National Pension Scheme (NPS) funds to the tune of Rs.20,00,000 (Rs.Twenty lakhs) meant for Gana Sikhyaka of S&ME Department, Govt of Odisha, working under his administrative control.
On dt.24.01.2024, the BEO transferred an amount of Rs.20,00,000/- (Rs.Twenty lakhs) from the official NPS Account bearing No.922010013346542334, being operated in Axis Bank Branch, Daringbadi, to his personal account No. 32143051091 being operated in SBI Daringibadi Branch.
Subsequently on dt. 25.01.2024 and 26.01.2024, the BEO dishonestly transferred the entire amount (Rs.Twenty lakhs) to one Zerodha Broking Ltd. Demat Account of Sri Rasananda Kar, BEO Daringbadi Block (a private account for investment in the share market).
In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance PS Case no 6/2024 U/s 13(2)r/w13(1)(a)PC Amendment Act,2018 has been registered against accused Sri Kar, BEO. Investigation is underway.
